News/RSS Feed
News articles will be provided to you via two channels:
- RSS feed with live news articles (last 50 articles for commercial aviation/business jets depending on your subscription with ch-aviation):
- https://www.ch-aviation.com/news/full/feed (full feed including paywalled news articles, requires a commercial aviation and/or business jets news subscription, otherwise paywalled articles will show a restricted text for the description tag)
- https://www.ch-aviation.com/news/free/full/feed (full feed including just free news articles)
To access the RSS live news feeds you need to login to ch-aviation.com first from: https://www.ch-aviation.com/login
Older news articles will be provided as an archive via Amazon Web Services:
- To access the full news archive sample data set on Amazon Web Services manually or programmatically, the S3 bucket URL is provided here.
- To get user name and password for trial access to the live RSS feeds and for manual access or access key and secret key for programmatic access, contact sales@ch-aviation.com.

<item> – Tag to display the news article. It contains below tags for each news article.
<title> – Contains the headline of the news article.
<description> – Contains the news article text including deep links to ch-aviation profile pages. If articles are paywalled with your current subscription, alternatively a text displaying why the article is not available.
<dc:creator> – Defines the author of the news article.
<category> – Contain below items mentioned in the news article;
- Aircraft Type
- Aircraft Variant
- Operator
- Airport
- Entity Name
- Tag (refers to Tags offered in ch-aviation News Search)
<link> – Defines the link to the news article on ch-aviation.
<guid> – Unique identifier of the news article, here we use link to the news article again.
<pubDate> – Defines the published date.
How to Join the RSS Feed With ch-aviation Data
1. Match by Category Name:
– Use the Category Name from your RSS feed to find the corresponding entry in the
ch-aviation mapping file below.
2. Get the Code/ID:
– The mapping file gives you the Code/ID that represents that category.
3. Join With Other ch-aviation Data Feeds:
– Each ch-aviation dataset uses its own field name for that same Code/ID.
– The Join On column in the mapping file simply tells you what that field is called in that specific dataset.
– Use that field to join the Code/ID to the matching ch-aviation data feed.
