Welcome to this year’s edition of the ch-aviation “Year in Review” report!

In 2024, ch-aviation welcomed an impressive 3 million website users. That’s 1.1 million more than we had in 2022. January was our busiest month, attracting 479,496 users, with the week of January 21-27th standing out as the most active, drawing 245,916 users. Altogether, we recorded an incredible 8.3 million page views throughout the year.

Examining our global audience, we’ve found that the United States and the United Kingdom are where we’re most popular. The US leads the way with over 553,000 visitors in 2024. Interestingly, London, UK, ranks as the top city, with more than 140,700 visitors. Zurich, Singapore, Washington D.C., and New York round out the list of our most active cities.

Looking at our user base, we’ve found that the majority access our website via mobile devices (63%), with Android being the most used operating system. Meanwhile, 35% of users visit ch-aviation from desktop computers. Tablet users make up the smallest segment of our audience, accounting for just 2% of visitors.

This year, we focused on three major projects: a revamped user interface, the introduction of aircraft accidents and incidents data, and the upcoming launch of Business Aviation Data.

To further improve user experience, we also implemented a new feature – the Global Search field. This tool streamlines the search process, allowing you to quickly access any news or data from our database in just seconds. Keep an eye out for the release of Business Aviation Data and News, which will provide our customers with the same precise and reliable intelligence for Business Aviation that they currently utilise for Commercial Aviation.

In 2024, we hosted another edition of the Youngest Aircraft Fleet Award,” recognizing Starlux Airlines for operating the youngest fleet in the industry, with an average age of just 1.22 years. Their modern aircraft contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and improving fuel efficiency, marking a significant step forward in aviation sustainability.
